Mental Wealth

As I was browsing through Instagram the other day, I came across a post which read: Anything that causes you your mental health is too expensive. I thought that was brilliantly stated. I had just experienced the correlation between mental health and mental wealth in my own life and had just posted about the fact that health before wealth is the formula for success.

The goals that we set for ourselves are a gauge for where we want to be at a specific time and what we would have liked to accomplish during that period. But in my case, I had to realize that as long as I was making progress – deadlines and redlines [and by redlines I mean the fastest, farthest, highest point or degree considered safe to impose on my body when I am well or ill] could be altered to accommodate what was best for my health.

Let’s be self-care advocates for ourselves. Watch what you eat. Watch what you drink. Watch what you think. Watch what you accept. Watch what you expect. You deserve to be well or to allow time for healing if necessary.

Self-care is not selfish. It is wise. Where there is no good health – there can be no profit or wealth.
