I had the highest honor of redecorating the living room, reading room, and foyer, all on the main level of a very historic home in Atlanta, GA. The challenge was to modernize the space without losing the historic charm that permeated the home.

We’re still celebrating an absolutely wonderful weekend! Both of my sons are here with my lovely daughter-in-laws and it all started Friday evening with my youngest son, Aaron, and my daughter-in-law, Hayley, attending a wedding rehearsal and dinner for their cousin Schase, and his lovely bride-to-be, Aniah.

We all fall short of our own expectations at times—whether it’s a meltdown, a moment of hiding, or not showing up how we wanted. This honest reflection explores how mindset and grace help us move through those moments with compassion, reminding us that growth often starts with acceptance.

My mommy is a prissy, prissy poo. You know, the type that you can't imagine burping, even as an infant, when burping is fashionable, or at least expected. She is the type that would never laugh loudly enough in a restaurant to be heard by guests sitting in an adjoining booth. She knows all the rules for proper etiquette and uses them religiously. In comparison to me, mom probably surpasses perfection.
