Meet Beauty and Lifestyle Expert Angela Odutoye!

Updated: Jun 23, 2021

Ladies if you’re like me, you’re always looking for safer, less harmful products to use in caring for your skin. Meet itzjustme.blog’s beauty and lifestyle expert, Angela Odutoye! In the interview located at the bottom of this post I know you will be informed, inspired and ready to enact smarter and safer choices. But first, check out what my research revealed. I was shocked and I think you will be too!

I knew that there were harmful chemicals in some of the products we use. I’m talking lipsticks, foundations and powders made with lead. I was relieved to discover that eyeliners and mascaras did not contain bat poop as once rumored, only to be dismayed by the discovery that in this day and age the FDA approves of lipsticks made with crushed insects as a coloring agent, and moisturizers and face masks that contain snail ooze and bull semen. Disgusting! Check out the link below for yourself!

Fortunately, the going green initiative that seems to be catching on in every major industry makes it possible for us to find products that are safer and that have minimal harmful chemicals in the beauty and skincare market. Do your homework and make sure you understand the labels on your products. Currently the five main categories that push for more safety are natural, organic, vegan, fair trade and clean. The Glamour magazine article details the difference between them all and what the labeling on packaging really means.

Now be empowered as you watch the following interview. Enjoy!
