5 MUST-DO’s for Women

We all know what to do. We’ve heard it said many times. I refer to them as the 5 MUST DO’s for Women.

Eat healthy. Drink more water. Exercise. Take time for yourself-meditate. Do work that you love.


I think because the BIG 5 are so simple to enact, I reasoned that I could get to them whenever. The problem is whenever never happens when you think that way! I used to be able to blame my negligence on my roles as wife and mommy. So my distractions and self-negligence were legit! But not anymore! My sons are grown, out of the house, married and living their own lives. (So proud of them!) And my hubby is not a burden to me. We generally chill around the house together, play footsies and eat healthy for the most part.


I’ll be 57 this year. Fortunately, I’ve been able to maintain good health. I attribute my success to my sporadic but somewhat consistent diligence with trying to incorporate all of the BIG 5. Even though I didn’t incorporate all of them every day and all at once, I did give at least a 65% effort to them all. So that’s why I’m sharing this with you. Whatever your age, try to incorporate all 5 MUST DO’s in your life as soon as possible. If you start while you’re younger, you will yield the best results. But even if you start later on, you will still yield much better results than you would if you never start at all! That chapter is not closed ladies! It’s never too late to begin a regimen of self-care.


You know all of the reasons. Water hydrates the body and keeps you regulated. A healthy diet minimizes the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. Exercise forces the body to release endorphins that reduce stress levels. The point is to prevent health issues or perhaps reverse them! Reversal is quite possible so get started improving your life now!

Taking time for yourself through meditation or otherwise helps you appreciate and value your worth. And doing work that you love helps you appreciate and value your purpose.

All 5 MUST DO’s when incorporated together yield the resonating natural beauty that is your essence! [And It keeps me wearing my favorite pair of 5-inch heel ankle boots that much longer!]
