SUMMER OF HOPE - THROUGH SPACE & HARMONY

There is power in the space we create for ourselves. Equally powerful is the wisdom to recognize that space is needed and the discipline to create it. Space is a gift that keeps giving, nourishing us physically, mentally, and emotionally. It offers a sanctuary where we can reflect, recover, learn, and reconnect with our purpose.

This summer is the perfect time to take action to create space within your space. It's time to clean house—literally and figuratively. Choose a place within your home, apartment, condo, or wherever you live, and begin there. Remove furniture and possessions that feel overwhelming, cumbersome, or no longer serve a purpose. Keep what brings comfort, harmony, and a sense of peace. Clear away the weight and clutter, and make room to breathe, think, and simply be. This doesn’t mean you have to replace old pieces with new ones, but it may, if you’re in a position to do so. Either way, let in the light and work it out!

This action alone will clear space in your head. Oftentimes, we don’t realize the connection between the presentation of our homes and how we show up for ourselves mentally. When we hold on to resentment, hurt feelings, shame and anger, we clutter our minds with debris that hinders our ability to think new thoughts, create openly and discover or even recognize opportunities that could benefit us. As we release emotionally and mentally, we often begin to release physically as well. What we let go of internally is frequently reflected in what we let go of within our homes.

Create your space! Demand it and command it!

I don’t believe that life offers balance – life on equal terms. But harmony? You can manage that – the ebb and flow of life that carries you through highs and lows while keeping you grounded, centered, and in rhythm. Life will have its ups and downs, but when you embrace harmony, you remain on beat even as the tempo changes.
