I believe a woman’s supreme power is manifest when she grants herself the gift of soul-searching, gut-wrenching, genuine honesty about who she is – her strengths, weaknesses, struggles and personality quirks.
Real growth and even happiness occurs when we, as women, celebrate our value but work decisively to align our character with qualities that promote positivity, empowerment and courage. We ask ourselves the hard questions - Do I promote positivity by giving careful consideration to how I interact with others? Do I listen freely, or do I have to be the first to speak, as if my situation automatically has more significance? Do I empower other women by collaborating with them, especially if their methods and strategies will enhance my brand and even me? Or do I think that I know more even though my skill set demonstrates otherwise? Do I have the courage to press forward when times get hard or financial challenges prevail? Or do I give up, even blaming others for my lack of acumen and prowess?
Your power as a woman will always be equivalent to or greater than the power of your brand.
This is because you, your time, energy, fortitude and insight created and nurtured the brand! Brand development, which should be synonymous with your character and reputation, is like giving birth to a child. You’re constantly learning, teaching, guiding, feeding and giving to an entity that represents the essence of YOU. And when your efforts reach fruition, the experience, the journey will have been hard-earned and well deserved. You glow up!

However, there is no plateau in business. Regardless of your net, you must stay afloat and keep doing for continued success. And doing is completely different from growing. The same is true in your personal development. Refinement is the result of doing and savvy is the result of growing. We are all still a work in progress. Always.
Below are 5 tips to help you stay the course when launching a new brand and possibly a new YOU.
Plan and project for the future while operating in the moment. Review your vision and mission statements regularly to ensure that your efforts in the moment align.
Remove emotion from your overall business operations and think rationally and analytically. If a person, place or thing disrupts your mood or branding, remove the person or element quickly and stay the course!
Meet challenges, (especially financial challenges) with determination, focus and even dignity. If, for example, you must file for bankruptcy at some point, or you lose everything, that doesn’t mean you’re a failure, or untrustworthy or irresponsible, etc. It means you encountered a difficulty you couldn’t overcome at the moment. Do not let anyone impose any labels on you including the ones listed above. Get a grip on your financials and stay the course. Your ship will sail soon if you’re patient.
Build your brand by surrounding yourself with people who have similar goals. Be humble enough to accept the expertise of those charged with guiding you. And be smart enough to get your ego out of the way of progress.
As you learn you know – as you apply you grow. If you view your business as fledgling, that’s all it will ever be. If you view it as a developing enterprise and conduct yourself in a mature manner while gaining experience – your business will likely succeed. The question is…what do you want for yourself personally and professionally, and how much time and energy are you really willing to invest?
Be wise. Be diligent. Be patient.
